Sometimes your ride needs a mechanic. When the condition drops below 50% you get a warning that your ride is getting a bit banged up. Take it to any car/truck dealer, an auto mechanic, or scrapyard to get it fixed for a fee – scrapyards are the cheapest (around $26 if it’s in your territory), truck garages the most expensive (can be up to around $75), unless you build your own repair shop.

Sometimes you might come across a gas station, a dairy, a furniture store or some other random business that can offer to fix your car too.
In order for one of the above businesses to agree to repair your car, your relationship score needs to be 0 or higher.
Even if it has taken some damage you can’t get a vehicle fixed unless the condition drops below 50%, as indicated by the green “health bar”. The sooner you fix it, the cheaper it is.
When a vehicle’s “health” goes below 50%, you get movement penalties. At 30% the driver gets -6 movement.
Fixin’ your own jalopies
If you have a spare building you can build a garage or a truck repair bay. Garages and repair bays produce nothing, but they increase the amount of cars and/or trucks your outfit can have. Crew can go there to get their cars/trucks fixed for a small fee.
Don’t bother assigning a manager to it. They have no way of gaining XP, so it’s a waste of a crew member slot.
Garages/truck repair bays are useful for buildings too small for anything else, especially if they’re in an awkward part of the map, but if you want to use them as a drop-off point between different areas of your territory, a larger-than-tiny building (i.e. above 750 ft³) will probably be more useful.

Note that the 5 from the Upgraded Truck Repair Bay is misleading. When you upgrade the Small Truck Repair Bay, you lose the +2 bonus it gives, and when the upgrade is finished you gain +5. So it’s not 2+5 in total for upgrading, it’s more like 2+3.
